🇺🇸 With deep respect for the United States Navy Seabees, I would like to share this tribute artwork in honor of the 84th Anniversary of the Naval Construction Force.
March 5, 1942 – March 5, 2026
This tribute is personal to me. I am the son of a Seabee — my father MR1 PO1 Alfredo A. de Leon, who proudly served as part of the Seabee community. Growing up, I learned about the Seabee spirit through him — the work ethic, the courage, and the enduring motto:
“CAN DO.”
For more than eight decades, Seabees have carried a unique mission — building critical infrastructure for the United States Navy and our nation while standing ready to defend what they build. Airfields, ports, bases, roads, and vital facilities around the world have been constructed under some of the most difficult conditions imaginable.
The Seabees are truly known as “The Fighting Builders.”
This artwork is simply a humble tribute to honor all Seabees past and present, and the families who have supported them.
Thank you for your service and sacrifice.
Happy 84th Birthday to the United States Navy Seabees.
⚓ CAN DO ⚓
If any Seabee veterans, families, organizations, or museums would like a high-resolution copy of this tribute artwork for commemorative or personal printing, I would be honored to provide it freely for that purpose.
